Privacy at a glance

This is a personal site, and it collects as little about you as possible: no cookies, no analytics tools, no embedded third-party services. I only process personal data where you give it to me yourself — in the contact form.

Controller. Max Kayr, Hermann-Löns-Str. 2, 93049 Regensburg, Germany. Email: <mail@maxkayr.de>. The controller is the natural or legal person who, alone or jointly with others, decides on the purposes and means of processing personal data.

This website runs at Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen. The server is in the Falkenstein data centre in Germany. Your data does not leave the European Union.

Hetzner processes the data generated when the site is accessed on my behalf. The basis for this is a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Processing takes place in the legitimate interest of providing this website securely and reliably (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

Server data. When you open a page, your browser transmits technically necessary details to the server: IP address, time of the request, address accessed, browser type and operating system. Without them, the page could not be delivered. This data is generated at the hoster; I don't keep access logs of my own and I don't evaluate it. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Contact form. If you write to me through the form, I store your name, your email address and your message. I use these details solely to reply to you, and I don't pass them on. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where it concerns entering into a contract, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Your message stays stored until the matter is settled and no statutory retention periods stand in the way. You can ask for it to be deleted at any time.

No cookies, no tracking. This site sets no cookies and embeds no analytics or advertising services. That's also why there's no consent banner here. The fonts sit on the same server as the site; there is no connection to Google Fonts or any other provider.

Encryption. The site is delivered exclusively over HTTPS (SSL/TLS). You can tell by the padlock in your browser's address bar. What you type into the form can't be read by anyone on its way to the server.

You have the right at any time

• to request information about the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
• to request its correction (Art. 16 GDPR),
• to request its deletion (Art. 17 GDPR),
• to request that processing be restricted (Art. 18 GDPR),
• to receive the data in a common, machine-readable format (Art. 20 GDPR),
• to withdraw consent you have given at any time, whereby the lawfulness of the processing carried out up to that point remains unaffected,
• to object to processing where it is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR).

An informal email to <mail@maxkayr.de> is enough.

Independently of this, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for me is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach.

I update this statement whenever something described here changes on the site. The version published on this page is the one that applies. Last updated: September 2026.
